Splinter Cell: Blacklist Co-op. Yes I am down for that! Mad excited about this!
Many of us are fans of stealth game genre. I for myself am a huge fan both Metal Gear and Splinter Cell series. Well just recently about a year ago Ubisoft announces the next SPLINTER CELL game in the series. As you may know the series has been taking a different direction. I still remember from the first game to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Those games were definitely great! Later on Ubisoft announces Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Which to me was an alright game. To tell you the truth it was a sudden change to the series. I remember many complaining about the game and yeah it could negative feedback but I still played through it since it had a good story.
Since Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Ubisoft decides to give the series a break. A few years later they announce Splinter Cell: Conviction. It was a huge upgrade to the series butto me they kinda steered away from stealth to more like “BOURNE” type gameplay. If you know The Bourne series I think you’ll understand what I mean. Pretty much RUN & GUN type game. It was great but not the play style I was looking for. It also got mixed reviews from the fans. Now on to the good part of this. Ubisoft unveils at E3 2012 Splinter Cell: Blacklist. I am amazed of what I’ve seem so far. The game design team now are going back to the roots of the franchise bringing also the new type of gameplay. By watching the gameplay video I’m going to post you’ll definitely know what I’m talking about!
One fact about this sequel is Michael Ironside won’t be reprising his role as Sam Fisher’s voice. I know you guys will be disappointed but he helping develop the new actor for him. Pretty much passing the torch to Eric Johnson. I have no problem with it because from what I’ve seen so far hes doing a superb job. I now understand why they changed to a new actor. Reason being the new Sam Fisher requires a lot of stunts and motion capture. Plus Michael Ironside is not that young anymore. They definitely don’t want him to get hurt. I’m glad though he is helping the new actor out to mold him into the Sam Fisher’s character.
Without spoiling it! Enjoy!
