As you may know I am an avid fighting gamer. Let alone I play so many games but the main ones would be Tekken and Street Fighter. I took a break from both series due to my schedule at work. Anyways I still do play them when I can. I know when its comes down to EVO 2013 this year I’ll have to be ready because going through that gauntlet again is CRAZY. Although I don’t make it to the end I am still proud of myself on how far I go in the tournament. I mean fighting other players from different countries puts your back to the wall because you don’t know how they play. When I first started playing I was usually comfortable playing against my friends. I use to own the neighborhood especially back in the day when we had arcades. Things started to get different when I started going to different areas of San Diego to play. Some folks I never met before and obviously the FEAR took over and I didn’t want to play. Well I have overcome that so I just started playing and adapting to everybody’s play style.
Fast forward now the fighting game community is very advance. I remember seeing one player play and this was back in 2004. This guy came from Japan and he was tearing up the competition in SFIII: Third Strike. I’ve seen videos of him online playing SoCal and NorCal players. Players like John Choi, Alex Valle, Mike Watson, and so on. Well Daigo has been in the fighting game circuit for years and holds many record. Its a FACT you can see them in the Guinness Book of World Records. To make long story short I was definitely amazed. Although he didn’t WIN EVO 2011 and 2012 I still believe he’ll get the championship back. He won EVO 2009 and 2010. I am glad I was able to meet him and have match with just like the other players who played against. Trust me if your playing Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012 (we all I know an update is coming out) plan on getting downloaded. It tells me I still need to head back to the lab.
Here’s some gameplay footage from EVO 2012.
Even Daigo has fans that are girls as well! Although she loses the match. She was very happy to have the chance to have a match against him.
